Not sure if you already know but the Big Dipper at Blackpool crashed this evening about 7.45pm. Not sure of the exact details but it looks like the block brakes haven't worked properly and two trains collided. Check:

Don't know if that's media over reporting as I remember years ago the media said the Big One collided at high speed 200ft up or something (how that's possible god knows) when the collision was at very low speed near the station.
Anyone got more info? Hopefully this doesn't mean that the Dipper will be fitted with the dreaded magnetic brakes that have plagued the Grand National for a few seasons and caused big queues!
