For France Parc Astérix the priority is to allow families to extend their stay. To achieve this, nearly 100 million euros will be invested over three years. A new hotel of 150 rooms, "The Suspended City", will be opened this year and guests of the hotel will never touch the ground as wooden walkways will connect the different spaces.
The hotel will have 150 rooms and will be within walking distance of the park. This hotel will consist of three villages representing the founding groups of the City: the one of druids, artists and potters. Each village will be connected by a wooden path, always on stilts, throughout the entire suspended city. The rooms will be spacious and will accommodate families of five.
A third hotel is also planned for April 2019. It will be called the Quai de Lutèce and will also offer a seminar center, a spa and a swimming pool. In total, Parc Astérix will go in three years from 100 to 450 rooms.
An altitude bar, the Viking aerobat:
This June, discover an unprecedented experience: take part in the takeoff of the Viking Aerobar (paying attraction)! Located in the Viking zone, this new generation bar, turning on its own, will offer visitors a unique and breathtaking experience. At 40 meters high, the visitor leaves for a journey with the head in the clouds.
The 16 guests sitting around a large table will enjoy an exceptional view of the park and the surrounding area.
After a few minutes of touching the sky will comes the moment to get back on the ground. The landing will be smooth and will let everyone leave with full dreams!
Also this year, a new show
"Rififi in the barnyard": Presented in a renovated outdoor theater of 200 seats, the rififi in the barnyard is an animal show that staged a Roman soldier catapulted "accidentally" in the Gallic village at the foot of the Assurancetourix tree, the bard of the village. The animals on the farm (woolly pigs, hens, ducks, rabbits, pigeons ...) will take care of running away in a thousand and one ways.
Extended days
The park extends its days until 22 hours from July 21st to August 18th. These 24 dates will be closed by a new animation of ten minutes in the presence of the characters of the Village. As part of the "Fear on the Park" event, four nights are scheduled on 31 October and 1, 2 and 4 November 2018 and four extended days on 13, 20, 27 and 30 October, during the holidays of All Saints.
