I do love bringing this up, but I think it put the speculation to bed because of some of the new theming elements include;
Can we all finally agree that the track is the tentacles and the supports are the “cage”??
It wasn’t a gun, it was a drill. Fitted perfectly in with the story that AT were digging when they discovered the creature. That was the drill that first came in contact with Nemesis, hence it being covered in tentacles.
I doubt they’d load the entire train onto the track in one go. The pictures will be of the lead cars that are connected, the other rows will be trailered like any other coaster without a zero car.
I think my issue is that I don’t really think that LOTR really translates well to a theme park? When I think of LOTR I think of vast open spaces, the mountain regions of New Zealand, and vastly big constructions (Helms Deep.. the Towers.. Rivendell etc).
None of these locations could ever...
I do love what they’re adding to the station, but I still don’t understand why they went for matt black on the track though?
Like you can clearly see that the “rails” are part of the creature, even in the new design:
So why did they make the decision to paint the track black?? The monster...
I don’t think a hotel’s construction would need it’s own thread, I think it fits in here. Once they start to built a new coaster, that’ll deserve it’s own thread.
I feel like it’s a “bonus” cred to be honest, it wasn’t in any of the original planning permissions. Originally it was a theatre building, so yeah I’ll happily take the extra cred, even if it’s not the most exciting.
I mean honestly they have already paid to build a second tower which is as tall as the first, that can’t exactly have been cheap. The coaster now has the current 2nd and 3rd tallest element on any coaster in the world, and that’s not even built using oil money.
Very slick looking.
I do wonder why the decision was made to have the seat panels in sections however. Those gaps remind me of the old Togo trains that Viper at SFGAdv used to have. I hope they won’t be uncomfortable in the same way. Most modern premium manufacturer’s seats are fully moulded...
Well that’s a wild reach.
Do you think it’ll be taken very slowly then or something? Why would it give a longer moment of airtime compared to another hill of similar height?
Also, have you seen the 500ft high airtime hill that’s being built on falcons flight?
It’ll be an extreme moment of...
