Polaris was a name that was considered/trademarked for Orion at Kings Island.

Megabyte was the name of CGA’s hyper coaster. The project was relocated to Kings Island and morphed into what became Orion.

I have no idea about Carowinds, but this statement isn't entirely accurate with regards to Kings Island...they left the Slingshot plot of land empty for one season and it's getting a replacement for next year.
