There are a number of reasons that can be inter-related including cost, location, and strength. Regardless, manufacturers don't choose the shape of the footers. That is generally chosen by the foundation company that the park selects.
Hyperia really isn't a good comparison as it's a simple lift hill coaster with just a few trains and a train design that has been utilized before at similar speeds.
Based on officially released videos and stats, Voltron's layout features at least the following:
A vertical launch
A second...
Narrow.
Sure, the wide trains tend to be much taller, but that only provides for a slightly more exciting drop. The rest of the wide train layouts tend to be pretty mundane. The narrow trains allow for more dynamic layouts, and therefore a more interesting and exciting ride.
It's been a minute since my last update:

Please... B&M's are way more reliable than Jaaags.
Also, Intamin Impulses are the American muscle cars of roller coasters. They look cool, are a lot of fun, but the fun is limited to a straight line.
Anybody with that type of information is unlikely to share it. I recommend using photos, the tools available to you, and your own personal judgment to make educated guesses. Then tweak your dimensions as necessary to get the correct appearance with a reasonable scale. It's good practice.
I didn't realize these things were worthy of having their own Wikipedia page.
Back in 2016, I came to Europe for the first time and started the trip in England. After landing at Heathrow, we drove straight to Windsor to have lunch (Sunday roast!) and visit the castle before heading up north to...
During my first visit to Europa, I went into the little Gazprom building because I knew it had the Wodan model. Had no idea what Gazprom was, but I saw they were selling Shalke kits (because they were sponsored by Gazprom) and I thought that was really random and cool as this was my first time...
Zamperla has procured the spire from Drachen Spire and will be adding it to Kingda Ka in a double coup.
Swingda Swa. 2024. Don’t forget who told you first.
I thought this was a pretty good observation. Definitely felt believable, so I did a quick check. It's not quite as far as I would have guessed...
Not trying to hijack this thread and get more into length than physical size.
I don't care how factually incorrect it might be, no park has ever felt larger than Kolmården. I'm convinced I walked to another town trying to get back to Wildfire.
But also, front to back, Cedar Point has to be just about the longest park in the world. It's a solid mile from the front...
My top 5 are all really close and can generally jump a spot or two depending on my mood, but the players in the top 5 are pretty firm at the moment:
1. Flying Aces
2. Hyperion
3. Kondaa
4. Expedition GeForce
5. VelociCoaster
I'm a firm believer that, with a record like that, you really only need that first year of marketing to create a long term buzz. Qiddiya isn't opening until late 2024 at the earliest, so CP would have had a decent chunk of 2023 and the entire 2024 season to market that they have the tallest in...
Six Flags has also been known to do some atypical schemes rather than sticking with the expected go-to colors. Let's not forget some of the numerous variations we've seen in Batman color schemes:
To be clear, I'm not saying that this is going to be an Ultra Surf nor am I saying it's going...
