The UK could do with a ST:OE of it's own so if it's anything like that ride then I'll be happy. Really enjoyed it, especially. night. Anything better and I'll be super pleased and impressed. Anything worse = disappointment.

I think it should be on a par or higher though so I'm hoping I'll be happy. I'm not the pickiest though and I'll deliberately keep my expectations low. Haven't done Helix so can't overhype from that point of view as easily.

Looks good so far.

Someone always beats me to it!

I'm gonna say it... I think that Immelmann turns out too soon to be an inversion. I think we might need to have a look at @furie's inversion chart.

But it looks larger than what I expected!

Naaah, there's a point just about where the crane hook/sling is in that last photo where the train is definitely inverted. Although I will concede that the Non-Inverting Loop on Flying Aces definitely looks like more of an inversion that this, and it definitely feels like one. :p

And I'm not just saying that 'cos the chart has already seen it's 2017 outing... ;)

I'm in love with the creative supporting Mack have managed with this! Especially the main immelman support in that last picture <3

Definitely an inversion! If Krake's immelmann counts, then this does too... Watching this thing go up is so exciting!

I don't think it is. But ill have a look at it from different angles, and based on how I feel when I ride it whether it truly is an inversion or not. But the park did call it a "Twisted Immelmann".

No, Mack initially pitched a Twisted Immelmann which is a slightly different element. It would’ve been effective at the originally pitched faster launch speeds as it would have created strong airtime. Originally the train didn’t invert at all and was fully upright at the apex of the element. The original layout still had just two inversions however, as the inclined loop was an inversion rather than the “banked turn” it became.

When the launch speeds were decreased, a more standard Immelmann made sense. It is definitely an inversion now, even if it does start to rotate the train just before the apex, rider’s heads will be well below their feet.

How long do we reckon it will take for the ride to be complete, and how long would we say they have already completed? I would reckon completion in mid-late January, and I would say the coaster is around 25-50% done.

Out of curiosity, since you seem to know, were there any other major differences between the original ride and the final proposal and if so, which version do you think looked better? Just hypothetical questions of course :)

The only other major change I can think of is the zero-g roll, originally it was very parabolic (think Swarm's) and rotated clockwise. Despite the initial proposal being faster, the final profile is the best. The original didn't have the smooth and silky flow the finished one has, which is to be expected considering it was a proof of concept.
