What is the weirdest flat ride you've seen/ridden?

Not one for the intense category, and I think these used to be common many decades ago, but maybe some of you have never seen this sort of thing. It’s a caterpillar ride. The first half of the ride is a conventional spinning ride, but then halfway through the riders are suddenly cocooned, and this is the main thrill of the ride.

Sounds and looks similar to the Music Express ride in Mirabilandia. Loved that thing as a kid.

There used to be one of those at Rhyl Ocean Beach in the '80s as well. I seem to remember it having a roof over it as well though.

I got a little pov of the one at Southport. There's still a couple kicking around the country in obscure places.

I used to love them as a kid, but I was born after decimalisation so never paid for it in lsd
