I usually get an Alton pass, as I live less than half an hour from the place and it's nice to be able to head up when I'm at a loose end. Obviously this year I knew I'd be at both Thorpe and Lego at least once, so I got the gold option. Will I renew it next year? No idea.

I don't like to say anything against this project because I've been so happy with it overall - but I do agree that I miss the old soundtrack. Potentially off topic, but there seems to be a trend of iconic soundtracks vanishing and not just from Merlin parks (Valhalla) - and one of the rumours...

Nothing wrong with Silver Star, it just doesn't have the 'oh, my ****ing God, WOW' factor that usually comes with that ride type. It's better than Goliath at La Ronde, for instance.
