So I can finally share that there were also issues with the original train design and the new train S&S built has arrived at the park. I will be going back to the park tomorrow to film and take another test ride or two. These photos of the new train arriving will have to hold you over until then...

I think the new train is because there was no form of barrier at the front of the train to help prevent people from falling out the front, which I guess is a safety hazard...

The barrier is between the cars, seperating the 2nd and 3rd row, not the front. Plus, that back row looks VERY interesting now :3

Im more interested in how this will ride more than ever in that backrow.

Yeah, here's a picture to show the new train:

Unfortunately don't know the source(I got this from a Discord).

Color me intrigued about that back row.

What's special about the back row? Looks like maybe a big-boy hardness on the closest seat, but apart from that it's the same, isn't it?

The train also looks like it's been split, like a Eurofighter etc., beforehand it was one solid slab if I remember correctly, now it's in two sections?

Yeah, that's definitely the change, but it's now just more like a normal coaster. :p

To be fair, that 4x3 single car train before was absurd.

CoasterForce is the source. ;)
I got back from the park too late to post here, but I did tweet and post photos on our Facebook page.
Guess that shows just how many members actually follow us on Twitter and Facebook. :p

Here's a comparison of the new and old train where you instantly notice that the new one is flat, getting rid of the stadium style seating:

It doesn't really separate the cars, as it's still one car. They added a joint between rows 2 and 3 that allows the third row to move independently from the front two and give an even smoother ride without all that squealing that the wheels made on the old train.
You'll be able to see and hear the difference once I get the new videos posted.

And yes, I did ride it again with the new trains, so it's not me just taking the park's and manufacturer's word that it's a much better ride.

Some of you might have noticed that to do this the rear axle had to be moved back, which is what really helped make the ride smoother.

Here you can see the axle placement on the old train:

Those with a really keen eye will also notice that the old axles work off a pivot point, whereas the new one is straight through. The wheels are also larger now.
And to answer the question @Intricks posted on my Facebook page, the rear seats feel about same as the other two rows even though they are a "little lay-z-boy".

Over the next week S&S will continue to work on the section of track that they had to replace as there's still a small bump that you can feel right where the track section connects to the dual launch stators.

The week after that the handicap elevators will be installed for both coasters. However, don't expect either coaster to be open right away.
The park is still waiting on the paperwork to go through the state permit office in order to even begin testing Wild Waves and once that's completed the state will have to inspect the coaster before it can open. GaleForce just needs to have the elevator installed before it can be inspected since it's already passed the testing stage, but the state inspectors are running way behind schedule this year due to the more stringent process that was put into place after Hurricane Sandy (without hiring any additional new staff) and so many new rides that have been installed at New Jersey parks this year.
If anyone is planning a trip to the park to ride the new coasters, I would recommend waiting until at least July.

How strong is the airtime? What ride would you compare it to in terms of strength of airtime? It's looking good, and hopefully I can make a trip to ride it this summer.

Thanks for the update Jerry. It really does look like a wacky little* coaster. Will be really nice to seem them finally able to get it operating!

*OK, I know it's not that little!

I really don't consider this to be an airtime coaster. It's more about the launch, drop and elements, which is why I never mentioned airtime in the post about my first ride on it. It's kind of like asking "how's the airtime on a Premier Skyrocket II", even though this does have a bit on the second and third drops.

Here's the new POV:

Reports from Reddit seem to suggest this opened to the public last night. Not yet clear if this just a soft opening, or if it'll stay open while they finish the other coaster, but it's had public riders now.

I found the lap restraints they used on Green Lantern and El Loco at Adventure dome really comfortable, so why did they go vests on this one?
I mean, why would you add bones to boneless chicken?

Did anything ever happen with Wild Waves?
Still hoping to make it back to Playland (and Casino) in August at some point
