The can-can theme is so ****ing wierd. I love it. I'm assuming we're going for Moulin Rouge inspiration here.
I'm hoping for a fab soundtrack that's only available for the VR riders (headphones?) so it doesn't spite the original.

Whoever added the track and the train to the awesome artwork (The artwork was drawn before the tracks have been added) deserves a rant.
Disclaimer: I just "heard" this information and can't confirm if it is actually true since it's not from an official source (except for the third one, which is sure):
-Both trains will have onboard sound.
-The space-soundtrack will be remixed and parts of the old one will be re-used.
-If the new space-soundtrack sucks I'm gonna stab people.

Just to keep you updated:
-About 25% of the tracks have been removed. They can't remove more right now, because it could make the support structure unstable. So they have to install some of the new tracks first before they remove more of the old ones.

-The first parts of the new trains have been manufactured.
http://instagr.am/p/BdcnJshFw5g/ -The additional station will be next to Silver Star, which means that the trains will leave and enter the sphere through the holes, which are permanent (even though I think they will build tunnels around them or something like that).

The Europa-Park unveils "Eurosat - CanCan Coaster" as the name of the renewed rollercoaster classic in the distinctive silver ball. It will open in 2018 and will be thematized in collaboration with Moulin Rouge. Passengers expect a "spectacular night flight over Paris".

The rails and cables of the "Eurosat - CanCan Coaster" will be completely renewed and the technology and the subjecting will undergo generous revisions. The redesigned façade in front of the landmark in the French themed area will greet the passengers with a true-to-life replica of the Parisian variety theater "Moulin Rouge". The attractive redesign in reference to the well-known sight invites you to tune in the Paris of the 19th century in times of the Belle Epoque on the ride with the "Eurosat - CanCan Coaster" and experience a "night train ride" of a special kind. The amusement park promises a "spectacular night flight over Paris". "Cancan" is a French dance that was created around the year 1830 and is still performed in the Montmartre district "Moulin Rouge" by the dancers. In the summer of 2018, the "Eurosat - CanCan Coaster" shines in new splendor in the French thematic area. (Photo: Europa Park) With the faithful replica of the red mill as well as other typical Parisian symbols, Germany's largest amusement park honors the vaudeville theater, which is today run by the third generation of the Clerico family and already supported by the fourth generation. New VR experience from MackMedia With "Eurosat Coastiality", MackMedia is also creating a new virtual reality experience in Europe's most popular amusement park as part of the redesign. For the first time, a separate station with a sliding track and separate trains will be integrated into the dark roller coaster to enable innovative driving pleasure. Thus, there are two attractions in a ride that use the same route. On the back of the "Eurosat - CanCan Coaster" will be the entrance for the Coastiality experience. The world of Madame Freudenreich with its Alsatian souvenir and curio shop, which will shine in a typical half-timbered look, replaces the previous attraction "Universe of Energy". In addition to the entrance to the "Eurosat - CanCan Coaster", visitors can look forward to various exciting scenarios in the house of the great dinosaur fan. They have the chance to see a lot of prehistoric artifacts from the giants of the past. Past Dino-Selfies with Ms. Freudenreich, down to the former wine cellar, which now serves as a dinosaur breeding farm, to the lush garden, where the Dinos are fed with delicious Gugelhupf, all kinds of things can be discovered.

Other innovations include a floating bistro boat on two floors with space for about 60 people, the laying and rebuilding of the traditional Flammkuchenstandes and a water fountain show that will entertain the visitors every half hour to different French music.

The VR station itself will have a generic Coastiality theme and there could be a number of different VR films available as is currently the case of Alpenexpress. It would be nice if one of these was space themed though!

Universe of Engery is being re-themed to Madame Freudenreich Curiosites and will open this year, presumedly at the same time as Sat re-opens. Three scenes of the existing ride are being replaced completely and the rest will be changed to fit with the new theme.
